Conference To Promote Safe Schools and Communities

September 25, 2007

On October 29-31, 2007, in Washington, DC, the Hamilton Fish Institute on School and Community Violence and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention will hold the National Conference on Safe Schools and Communities. J. Robert Flores, OJJDP Administrator, will provide introductory remarks on the opening day.

The conference will feature bullying prevention, mentoring, program evaluation, and community programs, with special sessions on youth courts and mental health. Additional sessions will address gangs, juvenile and restorative justice, and protective factors and resilience, among other subjects.
