Symposium Promotes Safer Future for Children

May 27, 2008

On May 29–30, 2008, in Springfield, MA, Western New England College will host Possibilities—Creating a Safer Future for Our Children.

Sponsored by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) and the Association of Missing and Exploited Children's Organizations, this child safety symposium will provide training and information on topics and programs of interest to social workers, counselors, educators, child care and youth workers, law enforcement personnel, medical and legal professionals, parents, elected officials, and other child advocates committed to enhancing the health and safety of our nation's children.

Associate Attorney General Kevin O'Connor will address the symposium, and OJJDP Administrator J. Robert Flores will deliver its keynote address. Scholarships are available through OJP's Office of Victims of Crime for registrants who qualify.
