These awards fund programs that assist missing and exploited
children; prevent child victimization, including technology-facilitated sexual
exploitation; coordinate the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and
neglect; advocate for abused and neglected children in court hearings; strengthen
system responses to at-risk and victimized youth; provide training and technical
assistance to child-serving professionals; and improve our understanding of
the causes, scope, and impact of child victimization. Major programs include
Project Safe Childhood.
