International Document Exchange

The International Document Exchange (IDE) program is designed specifically to meet the needs of non-U.S. organizations and is coordinated by the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS). The IDE program is a valuable international acquisitions tool for NCJRS. Comprised of members from 55 countries, the IDE program also serves as a worldwide network for information exchange in the field of criminal justice (not all members are publicly available on our site).

All IDE members will receive e-mail notification of new publication releases, news, and announcements from NCJRS partner agencies. E-mail announcements will include links to full text of publications (when available) and an order form for those wishing to obtain hard copy of materials. IDE members enjoy a waiver of postage and handling charges for a single copy of items listed on the current IDE member order form. In exchange, IDE members are asked to contribute reports and studies to NCJRS that address their country's justice system and its responses to contemporary crime issues as well as other areas of interest to IDE members. Publications are reviewed for inclusion in the NCJRS Abstracts Database, a resource containing over 200,000 abstracts of criminal justice studies and reports.

To apply for membership in the IDE Program, please use the Online Registration Form. For more information on the IDE program, please contact:
