- Violent crime involving the use of a firearm follows similar time patterns on school and nonschool days for juvenile offenders—increasing throughout the day and peaking between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
- On school days, juvenile violent crime involving the use of a firearm begins to drop off considerably after 9 p.m., while on nonschool days high levels of juvenile violent offending with firearms extends through 11 p.m. before dropping.
