Founded in 1906, Boys & Girls Clubs of America seeks to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Colorado Foundation for Families and Children
The Colorado Foundation is evaluating OJJDP's Truancy Reduction Demonstration Program to document its successes and challenges and to identify best practices that can be shared with other communities.

National Center for School Engagement
This document serves as a model interagency agreement for the exchange of information concerning juveniles, ensuring open communication among involved agencies.

National Center for School Engagement (NCSE)
NCSE provides training, technical assistance, and research and evaluation on school attendance, attachment, and achievement for school districts, law enforcement agencies, courts, and state and federal agencies.

National Truancy Prevention Association (NTPA)
NTPA helps communities develop, support, and sustain effective truancy prevention practices by providing leadership and encouraging collaborative practices.

National Youth Court Center (NYCC)
NYCC serves as an information clearinghouse for youth court programs across the nation, providing training and technical assistance and creating resource materials on the development and enhancement of youth court programs.

National Youth Gang Center (NYGC)
Sponsored by OJJDP, NYGC provides a coordinated response to America's gang problem by helping policymakers, practitioners, and researchers develop and implement effective gang prevention, intervention, and suppression strategies.

No Child Left Behind Act
Reauthorizing the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, No Child Left Behind provides increased accountability for states, school districts, and schools; greater choice for parents and students, particularly those attending low-performing schools; more flexibility for states and local education agencies in the use of federal education dollars; and a stronger emphasis on reading, especially for young children.

Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative
A collaborative initiative from OJJDP, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Education, Safe Schools/Healthy Students provides funds to schools and communities to enhance school- and community-based services, to strengthen healthy child development, and to prevent and reduce violence and substance abuse among youth.

Truancy Reduction Demonstration Program
As part of a cooperative effort among OJJDP, the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools (U.S. Department of Education), and the Community Capacity Development Office, program sites were selected to implement truancy reduction programs incorporating the following components: community collaboration, public awareness efforts, a continuum of services for families, and successful system reform.
